James A. Farley Post Office

Formerly the only 24 hour post office in NYC, if not the country, this service ended in 2009. Still It is open all the time for self-service and it has extended hours most days and tax days.

The James A. Farley Post Office is beautiful and although you are only allowed in a small section it is a grand building worthy of a tour. .

Union Square Mandala

Mandala is that sand art done on the ground that is not permanent. There is a guy in Union Square that does them on a regular basis.

Cyclone Bender

Some equipment just looks so cool and weird that I have to take a picture. Here is one that I saw and later found out it was a pipe bender.

Looks like something for an industrial kitchen.

Apparently it was well used but at $6,000 a piece I hope they recycle it.
