It Was Easter...

Hey at least I am getting closer to the current date. Just enjoy these few Easter shopping pics.

Happy Easter, April 8th...two and a half moths late.
Cool simple egg shaped decorations.
In my day they had one dye pack and some bad chocolate bunnies.

National September 11 Memorial & Museum

Visited the National September 11 Memorial & Museum on a cold wintery day. The site is amazing but nothing compared to the way it was before 2001.

Reflecting pool
A few of the many names
Tossing coins is against the rules but many did anyway.
Waterfall
The tower being made.
Quiet day
The park is quite small.
The museum.
Big security gates.
Kiosks giving a face to the names.
Pennies get tossed at the base of the trees instead of the pools.
South Pool.
Commemorative bike.

It Was Christmas...

Finally got around to uploading the Christmas pictures. It was nice and snow-less for most of the winter of 2011-2012 but still cold. Here are a few of the shopping trips I went on.

Blue light special
The stars will guide to the bargains.
Probably would only use once a year so makes a great seasonal gift.
The faceless already celebrating New Year's Eve.
Windy and cold.
Yes I will be warm.
Obviously the cold won't affect y'all.
Yes, Virginia displays.
More snow in the fake city than in the real one.
Oh Virginia just text him a message.
No needles to clean up.
That Macy's door is awfully small for the large headed people.
I believe! I believe!
Boxes of Santa.
Jewelry window, aaaah.

Edgar Allan Poe Cottage

This is the cottage Edgar Allan Poe spent his last years in from 1846-1849. The home is located in The Bronx and is free to visit. This place would be cool for a Halloween party but I guess as a historic site that will not happen.

Edgar A Poe
A view through the fence.
Lovely porch
Very simple
Poe had his own gift shop?
Slightly more modern than my stove.
A padded chair and some lemonade and I could be home.
Ooooo ghosts.
Nice yard
Not a raven but still was squeaking nevermore.

Remembering Occupy Wall Street

This was last year at Zuccotti Park when the Occupyers first started their movement. I am not a reporter so a year late with the story is fine.

In the shadow of the New World Trade Center.
Oh fenced in for your protection.
Stop corporate greed (sign made in China by Kodak)
That is kind of true.
The great unwashed.
Sure but do you have anything funny to say.
Can I get change, no I mean change for a dollar.
Colorful message I wonder what they are saying.
