Waterfalls and Cancellations

I went to Governors Island for the rained out New York Philharmonic concert and surprisingly it was rained out. Allegedly they were concerned over the safety of people holding metal instruments in a lightening storm, wusses.

So instead staring at an empty stage and falling rain I went to see the The New York City Waterfalls by Olafur Eliasson. For those not familiar with the Waterfalls it is staged falling water art project.

So let's start the journey (through my cell phone camera).

Leaving the dock we see pink archways.

Comfy seats on the smaller ferry.

Oh no that jellyfish is going to drown.

There's the waterfalls from the boat.

We're getting closer.

Looks like the Niagara Falls, kind of.

We've landed.

How long until some fool climbs it?

Bunker homes?

A view from the island back to lower Manhattan.

Statue of Liberty a day after the 4th of July, does she look hungover.

Mini-golf.

Tenters escaping the rain.

Some sort of public art.

Disco ball made out of metal disk?

The basement where the monster stay during the day/

My row house.

So much undeveloped space.

Just pretty.

Mailboxes need to be bigger.
